Fabric Beads. Tiny scraps of fabric - smaller than your pinky fingernail - one at a time layered onto simple wooden beads. A bit tedious to make, true. But so worth it. I like to wear them as pendants, sometimes alone and other times as a trio. I have a hard time parting with leftover feedsack bits from the tattered quilt tops that I collect for repurposing, and these beads are just another way to extend the life of even the tiniest vintage fabrics. "Waste not, want not," as my Nana used to say.
I will be making a bunch of these for Teacher gifts coming up as we approach the holidays, and will be sure to add some to the VintageMadeModern shop, too. Just imagine what you could make with them! xoxo
